Getting started
From sign-up to a working compliance program in your first week.
These six pages take a new organization from an empty account to a program that collects evidence on its own. Read them in order the first time; each one ends where the next begins.
The first week
- Sign in and, if your organization requires it, set up multi-factor authentication.
- Create the organization in the six-step wizard: framework, company details, context, billing details, and a first data source.
- Choose frameworks in Settings when the baseline from the wizard is not enough.
- Invite your team so control owners and reviewers can sign in with the right role.
- Connect data sources so evidence, assets, identities, and findings arrive without uploads.
- Work the readiness plan on the dashboard until Phase 2 reads complete.
Sign in and accounts
Create an account, sign in, meet the MFA requirement, and switch between organizations.
Create your organization
Every field and decision in the six-step wizard, and what Finish starts in the background.
Choose frameworks
Pick the standards and regulations in scope and understand what enabling a framework loads.
Invite your team
Add members, assign admin, editor, or viewer roles, and manage pending invitations.
Connect your first data source
Which connector to start with, how to connect it, and where its output lands.
First week checklist
The dashboard readiness plan as an ordered checklist with the rule that completes each step.
Who does what
Creating an organization and the wizard need no special role, because the person who creates the organization becomes its first admin. Settings tabs such as Members and Frameworks are admin-only afterwards; connecting data sources needs an editor or admin. See Roles and permissions.
Popular tasks
- Meet an MFA requirement when the organization enforces it
- Switch between organizations from the sidebar
- Enable a second framework and generate its policies
- Invite your IT admin as an editor
- Connect GitHub, the fastest first connector for engineering teams
- Read the dashboard once the first sync has run
