Noru fits when
Your privacy programme lives close to engineering: you want records of processing derived from the code and kept current by CI, run on the same control library as your security frameworks, with EU data residency.
Comparison
OneTrust is profiled from its own public pages, then compared with Noru for privacy and compliance teams. Where Noru does not do something OneTrust does, the table says so.
OneTrust describes an AI-ready governance platform that brings privacy, data, AI and technology risk into one system.
Its Privacy Automation products cover an always-current data and activity map with data discovery and classification, records of processing, privacy risk assessments and DSAR Automation for data subject requests. Consent & Preferences covers a Consent Management Platform for cookie consent and universal consent and preference management. Separately, Tech Risk & Compliance states coverage of 50+ frameworks, alongside Third-Party Management and AI Governance with EU AI Act, NIST AI RMF and ISO 42001 templates.
Prices are not published. OneTrust quotes solution packages, some in Base and Suite editions, metered on measures such as admin users, inventory size, data profiles, visitors and data volume.

Neither publishes prices. OneTrust quotes packages metered on usage such as admin users, inventory size and visitors. Noru licenses the platform plus the capability packages your obligations require, priced per deployment, with a written quote after a demo.
For records of processing, data mapping and privacy assessments, yes. For consent banners and data subject request handling, no — Noru does not provide them, so keep OneTrust or another tool for those.
Engineering describes data categories, uses and subjects once, in a manifest that lives next to the code. CI pushes it to Noru on every change, and Noru materialises systems, datasets and processing activities from it with full version history. Existing records can also be created by hand and backed by manifests over time.
Yes. GDPR runs on the same control library as SOC 2, ISO 27001, NIS2, DORA and 30+ frameworks in total, so a system's evidence counts across privacy and security at once.
No. Customer data is never used to train, fine-tune or evaluate any model — Noru's or a provider's — and every AI feature runs under zero data retention terms, so the model provider returns the output and keeps no copy of the prompt or response. Both commitments are contractual, in Section 4.6 of our Terms and Sections 3.5–3.6 of our DPA. Ask every vendor you shortlist for the same in writing.
