A short framework list
Comp AI lists eight frameworks. NIS2, DORA and the EU AI Act are not among them.
Comparison
Comp AI is open-source compliance automation built to get teams audit-ready fast. Noru covers a wider framework list, EU regulation and privacy operations. Here is the comparison, from Comp AI's own pages.
Why alternatives
Common reasons teams evaluate other options.
Comp AI lists eight frameworks. NIS2, DORA and the EU AI Act are not among them.
Running compliance software yourself means owning its uptime, upgrades and security — the controls you are trying to evidence.
Comp AI does not state a hosting region on the pages we reviewed. EU buyers and their DPIAs need that answer in writing.
A records-of-processing register maintained by hand drifts out of date the moment engineering ships.

NIS2, DORA, the Cyber Resilience Act and the EU AI Act alongside SOC 2 and ISO 27001, mapped through one control library across 30+ frameworks.
Every customer's evidence, policies and personal data are stored and processed in the EU. AI inference is the one activity that may leave the EEA, under EU Standard Contractual Clauses.
Article 30 records and a data map derived from source code and CI, so the register changes when your systems do.
Privacy manifests use an open taxonomy, and an MCP server lets AI clients query your live programme — without you running the platform.
Why Noru
What sets Noru apart for faster, smarter compliance.
Evidence from your own systems is collected again once integrations are connected; policies, risks and vendor records come across, and controls are re-mapped once. We scope the move during the demo.
Reconnect integrations; evidence is collected again from source
Bring across policies, risks and vendor records
Map controls once across every framework you carry
Time the switch around your next audit window
Noru is a Comp AI alternative for teams whose obligations go beyond the eight frameworks Comp AI lists — NIS2, DORA, the EU AI Act and GDPR records of processing — and who want a hosted platform with EU data residency rather than software to run themselves.
No. Comp AI publishes its code under AGPL-3.0, with a portion under a commercial licence. Noru is a commercial platform that Noru hosts; it uses an open privacy taxonomy for data manifests and exposes your programme to AI clients over the Model Context Protocol.
Neither publishes a rate card. Noru licenses the platform plus the capability packages your obligations require, priced per deployment. Book a demo for a written quote against your scope.
No. Customer data is never used to train, fine-tune or evaluate any model — Noru's or a provider's — and every AI feature runs under zero data retention terms, so the model provider returns the output and keeps no copy of the prompt or response. Both commitments are contractual, in Section 4.6 of our Terms and Sections 3.5–3.6 of our DPA. Ask every vendor you shortlist for the same in writing.
