Setup

Create a Datadog API key and app key with the read scopes required for your selected evidence.
Enter the Datadog site, API key, and app key in Noru.
Run the first sync and review users, monitors, infrastructure, and security signals.
Enable additional read scopes only if you need those Datadog evidence areas.

What Noru collects

  • Datadog users and access metadata
  • monitors, infrastructure inventory, and observability configuration
  • security monitoring signals and rules where scopes allow
  • audit logs where the account plan and app-key scope allow

What Noru does not collect

  • write access to Datadog monitors, users, dashboards, or settings
  • application logs beyond the read evidence areas you enable
  • API key or app key values in evidence outputs

Evidence produced

Datadog evidence supports monitoring coverage, incident and alerting controls, infrastructure visibility, security monitoring, audit logging, and access reviews.

Troubleshooting

Disconnect behavior

Disconnecting stops future syncs. Revoke the API or app key in Datadog to remove provider-side authorization.

Scope minimization

Create a dedicated app key with only the read scopes needed for selected evidence. Avoid using an admin user's broad app key.
